Questions this episode answers
How do I practise Vulture micro in StarCraft: Remastered?
Play UMS micro maps and split your Vultures into two or three control groups (on keys 1, 2, 3). That lets you control the front and back Vultures separately and deal damage while kiting without losing units.
Screen keys or double-tapping control groups to move around the map?
Many players double-tap their base control groups (for example 0, 9, 8), but the screen keys F2, F3 and F4 are faster: they move the camera instantly without changing what you have selected.
What is the Bulgarian team Psi Storm mentioned in the episode?
Psi Storm was founded in August 2004, originally as dH][p, by Grast and his friends. In fifteen years it has played in many Bulgarian and international clan leagues and helped develop Bulgarian StarCraft talent.
Full summary
Episode 12 moves from theory to an intensive live practice session. It is for players of every level who want to improve their hand speed, hotkey use and decisions in real time.
Grast starts with community news: the second anniversary of the ArxBG stream and fifteen years of his team Psi Storm, founded in 2004 as dH][p. The main part has two halves. First come drills on UMS micro maps: Vulture kiting with three control groups, dropping a Reaver from a Shuttle precisely, placing Psionic Storms with High Templar and using a Defiler's Consume. Then he plays real online games on Fighting Spirit.
Grast wins a PvP and a PvZ, shows the difference between moving the camera with a double-tap on a control group and with the screen keys F2, F3 and F4, and keeps up a pace of more than 200 APM throughout.
